WETLAB CORNEAL SUTURES & PK

Service Description

Lectures will alternate with hands-on exercises and practical tests on human corneal tissue. Participants will have the opportunity to experience all phases of penetrating corneal transplantation and all surgical techniques for wet lab corneal suturing. Clinical pictures, surgical videos, and postoperative management will also be illustrated during the course. Special attention will be given to the management of intra- and postoperative astigmatism. The objective of the course is to provide scientific, clinical, and practical knowledge for the correct management of corneal sutures and penetrating keratoplasty (PK).
