Penetrating Keratoplasty & Sutures

The PK & SUTURE WETLAB aims to teach participants how to perform a corneal transplant using the PK (penetrating keratoplasty) surgical technique.

Theoretical lectures will be interspersed with hands-on exercises and practical tests on human corneal tissue. Participants will experience all phases of a PK corneal transplant. Clinical cases, surgical videos, and postoperative management will also be presented during the course.

During the meeting, alternating theoretical and practical sessions, the advantages and disadvantages of the aforementioned transplant technique will be highlighted.

The course will offer participants the opportunity to directly experience all phases of corneal transplantation on corneas.
